Gerald Gossley
July 21, 1938 — May 4, 2026
Gerald Gossley, 87, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on May 4th, 2026, in Boulder, Colorado from an automobile accident.
Jerry was born on July 21st, 1938, in Rochester, New York, to Lillian “Ada” and William Gossley. He graduated from Madison High School in Rochester in 1956, then earned an associate degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1968 while working at Kodak. Jerry spent his entire career with Kodak and later became supervisor of the engineering department in the company’s Colorado division. He retired from Kodak in 1991.
Jerry met his future wife Judy when her brother David introduced them. They were married at Saint Solom’s Church in August 6th, 1960. In 1974, the Gossley’s moved from Rochester, New York to Fort Collins, Colorado through Gerald’s job transfer with Kodak.
Jerry and Judy were able to retire in 1991 and enjoyed many years of traveling, visiting friends and family all over the United States. They also spent countless hours enjoying time with their granddaughter Lindsay.
Jerry and Judy were avid golfers and spent many years perfecting their game. Jerry loved to visit casinos all over the US, and his favorite game was Keno. Family found stacks of “players cards” from visits he had made during their travels. He would still drive at least once a week to Blackhawk Colorado to spend the day playing nickel Keno.
Gerald is survived by: Daughter Amy (Chuck) Griffin, Son William (Vladka) Gossley, Granddaughters Lindsay (Jeffrey) Lindhorst, Emily Harrington and Grandsons Lyle and Evan Harrington. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife Judith, his parents Ada and William Gossley, and 4 sisters, Florence, Elsie, Alice, and Evelyn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday May 22nd, 2026 at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, CO.
