Javier Stephen Michael VanWyhe

November 1, 2020 — June 2, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and family member, Javier Stephen Michael VanWyhe, affectionately known as Javi, who passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2026, at the age of five. He was surrounded by the love of his mother, sister, and brothers. Throughout his life, Javi was lovingly cared for by his devoted mother, Nycole, and his sister, Otiana, who played an important role in his daily care and comfort.

Javi was born on November 1, 2020, and was lovingly adopted by his mother, Nycole Shea VanWyhe, on June 1, 2023. Though his time with us was far too short, his life was filled with love, comfort, and countless precious moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Javi lived with a severe disability and faced every day with a quiet strength that inspired those around him. He found joy in life’s simple comforts. He especially loved his therapy days with his music therapist, occupational therapist, and speech therapist. He treasured family trips with his mother and siblings, cherished being held and snuggled by those he loved, and earned the title of “master napper” through his many peaceful naps. Javi loved cuddling with his stuffed animals and spending time curled up with the family’s dogs and cats.

Above all else, Javi loved being close to his family. The comfort of loving arms, gentle cuddles, and the presence of those who cared for him brought him the greatest happiness.

Javi was preceded in death by his grandfather, Stephen Shane Dillon, and his stepfather, Steven Lee Winters.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Nycole Shea; his devoted sister, Otiana, who lovingly helped care for him each day; and his brothers, Logan, Ethan, and Ryker, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though Javi’s life was brief, the love he gave and received was immeasurable. He taught those around him the true meaning of unconditional love, patience, strength, and the importance of cherishing every moment together. His gentle spirit and sweet presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day.

“Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us.”

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Javi.
