Jeremy Adam Sanchez

Sep 24, 1977 — Oct 16, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeremy Adam Sanchez, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose life was filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Jeremy was a man who lived with personality, passion, and a spirit that was entirely his own. His presence was felt wherever he went, and his absence will be deeply felt by the many people who knew and loved him.

Originally from Alamosa, Colorado, Jeremy eventually made his home in Fort Collins, a place he grew to love and where he built meaningful friendships and connections throughout his life.

To know Jeremy was to know someone who was unapologetically himself. He was outgoing, funny, hardworking, stubborn, strong-willed, and incredibly caring. He had the most beautiful brown eyes, a warm, unforgettable smile, and a personality that was impossible to ignore.

Jeremy was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with absolutely anyone. Whether he was at work, shopping, on the golf course, or simply going about his day, he always seemed to find someone to talk to. He had a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and it was nearly impossible for him to go anywhere without making a new friend or running into someone he knew.

He was also known for his sense of humor, which could be blunt, a little inappropriate, and completely unfiltered at times. You never quite knew what was going to come out of his mouth, but that was part of what made him so memorable. He had a way of making people laugh, sometimes when they least expected it, and never felt the need to be anyone other than himself. Beneath his outspoken personality was a genuinely sweet, emotional, and caring man. His friends knew him as someone who was authentic, loyal, and true to himself.

Throughout his life, Jeremy worked in a variety of fields, including HVAC, maintenance at Colorado State University, and management at Safeway. He was hardworking, resourceful, and willing to take on new opportunities and challenges. His work reflected the many different chapters of his life, but it was the relationships he built along the way that left the greatest impression.

Outside of work, Jeremy enjoyed golfing, spending time outdoors, and finding a good deal at Ross. He had a love for collecting shoes, watches, and clothes, and anyone who knew him knew just how much pride he took in his appearance. He appreciated looking his best and had a sense of style that was uniquely his own. Whether he was enjoying a day on the golf course, exploring the outdoors, or adding another pair of shoes to his collection, Jeremy found happiness in the things he loved.

Above all, Jeremy loved his family deeply. As a father, he shared a special bond with his daughters, offering them love, friendship, guidance, and memories they will carry with them throughout their lives. He was a man who felt things deeply and loved fiercely. Like anyone, he had his imperfections, but those imperfections never diminished the love he had for the people who mattered most to him. His daughters will forever carry pieces of him in the people they have become and in the lives they continue to build.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louie Sanchez; his great-grandfather, Jasper Chavez; and his brother, Scott Mondragon.

His life and memory will be carried on by his daughters, Jennifer Sanchez-Medina and Lauren Castro-Sanchez; his parents, Mike and Luann Chavez; his siblings, Steffan (Olivia), Emily (George), and Myka (Zach); his nephews, Shia and Benji Chavez, and Michael Simon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jeremy's life was more than the years he lived, the jobs he held, or the places he called home. It was found in the friendships he made, the conversations he shared, the laughter he brought into a room, and the countless stories that will continue to be told about him. He was a man who could leave an impression after just one conversation, and those fortunate enough to know him will remember the warmth, humor, and individuality that made him who he was.

While his passing leaves an unimaginable absence in the lives of those who loved him, his family hopes he will be remembered not only for the love he gave, but for the fullness of the life he lived. For his beautiful smile, his humor, his kindness, his strength, and the way he could make a stranger feel like a friend.

Jeremy was many things to many people, but above all, he was simply Jeremy. And there will never be another quite like him.
