Kira Elizabeth Doyle
Apr 28, 2004 — Aug 28, 2026
It is with unimaginable sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Kira Elizabeth Doyle, who was taken from us far too soon on August 28, 2026, in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Kira entered this world on April 28, 2004, and left us at the tender age of 22. Although Kira’s life was far too short, she leaves behind a legacy of joy and an incredible sense of adventure. The world was a great wonder to Kira, and she wanted to experience everything it had to offer.
Kira’s latest adventure was moving to Colorado to attend CSU for Animal Sciences. Anyone who met Kira knew how deeply she cared for animals and how she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She had recently graduated and was just two weeks into her master’s program, continuing to pursue that dream. When she wasn’t in class, she could be found working at animal clinics, volunteering, dog sitting, or cracking jokes. Kira was happiest when surrounded by animals, and her time at CSU afforded her plenty of this.
Kira considered herself so lucky to have loved and been loved by her high school and university friends, as well as the veterinarians and mentors she met through her work with animals. Whether heading off to a country music show or studying together, Kira found so much joy in the simple things and in the people she shared them with.
Kira leaves behind her beloved father, best buddy and travel companion, Keith Doyle. Also left to mourn is her dear sister Mikayla Hirst; her three uncles and their families; and her Texas cousins. Kira was incredibly kind-hearted and nurturing. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will remain with us forever.
Her father will hold close to his heart all the special times they shared - eating wings together, enjoying the homemade pot pie Kira made especially for him, and sampling the sweets she had mastered baking, which were always his favourite. He will forever treasure the many adventures they shared, from ski trips and boating days to cheering her on as she wiped out the competition at the many barrel racing horse shows.
Coming home to the family farm, having big bonfires, and riding horses was where she replenished her soul.
Until we meet again, sweet girl.
