Robert Charles Stull Jr.
Jun 11, 1955 — May 10, 2026
Robert C. Stull Jr., age 70, of Wellington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, while holding his daughter’s hand with his beloved dog, Ziggy, lying beside him.
A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2026. More details will be posted as they become available.
Robert Charles Stull Jr. was born on June 11, 1955, to Robert Charles Sr. and Mary Jane Stull. He was the oldest of three boys. Robert attended Poudre High School, graduating in 1973. During high school, he enjoyed track, auto mechanics, and oval track racing at Big Country Speedway in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt. From the ages of 8 to 18, Robert worked alongside his father in the family auto mechanic shop, developing a lifelong passion for cars and engines.
Robert worked as an auto machinist from September 1974 until November 1993. He then began a long career in Technical Services at Walker Manufacturing, where he worked from November 1993 until March 2026.
Robert was the proud father of one daughter, Hanna Stull, who was born on June 12, 1988, just hours after his own birthday. In fact, the doctors tried to assist Hanna in arriving on his birthday.
One of Robert’s greatest joys in life was his grandson, Hunter James. Some of his proudest moments were spent with Hunter, including sharing a cubicle together at Walker during COVID. The two were inseparable, and both would light up at the mention of the other’s name.
Recently, Robert enjoyed spending time at flea markets and antique shops, always searching for the next die-cast collectible or cow-themed surprise for Hanna. Hanna considers herself incredibly blessed to have had her father by her side not only through life, but also to help guide her through choosing his urn and sharing ideas for this obituary.
Hanna would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his friends — especially Rich, Robin, and Steve — as well as his wonderful family, his second family at Walker Mowers, and the compassionate staff at Pathways Hospice and Vessey Funeral Service for their love, support, and care.
