Adam Link, age 95 of Fort Collins, died September 29, 2026. He was born May 25, 1931, at home to Christ and Katherine Link in Emblem, Wyoming. He was the 10th child of Christ and Katherine Kreiger Deering Link. He graduated from Greybull High School in 1949.
He held various jobs, helping on the family farm and working on a sheep ranch. Later he moved to California to work in an MSG plant and in construction. He joined the National Guard in California in 1950 and later received an honorable discharge to enlist in the US Navy in 1952. He received his honorable discharge from the Navy in December 1955.
Following his 2nd honorable discharge he returned home in 1956. In the fall of 1956, he enrolled as a freshman at Northwest Community College in Powell WY. This was where he met his soul mate (his words) Sondra Schofield. They were married 3 weeks after they met, March 1, 1957, Sondra’s 18th birthday. Adam graduated with his associate degree in 1958, and they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado later that same year. He was employed at an auto parts company until he went to work for Woodward Governor in 1961. He later retired from Woodward Governor in 1992.
Adam is survived by sons Michael (Lena), Matthew, Jonathan (Maura), and his daughter, Elisabeth. His grandchildren Jonathan (Lindsay), Jason (Shelby), Joseph (Natalie), and Marissa (Jeremy). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, Jonah, Beckham, Addison, Emma, Waylon, Chloe, Everett, Jack, and Charlie. He is also survived by his sister Martha Werbelow.
He was preceded in death by his parents and most of his siblings.
Adam blessed his family with teaching and helping with all the skills he had learned over his lifetime. His longest hobby was food gardening. He fed his family from a beautiful garden for decades. He also enjoyed reading.
No service is scheduled. Due to his military service his final resting place will be next to Sondra at Fort Logan Cemetery.
