Betty Louise Johnson

Betty Louise Johnson, 94, of Loveland, Co, passed away after a short illness on October 20, 2025.  Born on 12/18/1930, in Salina, KS, Betty lived through nearly a century of remarkable change, carrying with her steadfast values rooted in the heart of the Midwest. 

Betty eventually made her way to Denver, where she met a handsome farm boy from SD and fell head over heels. She married Chuck Johnson on 1/24/1951. They spent 66 years in Aurora, CO where they raised their large family of 5 boys and 2 girls. In 2003 Betty and Chuck moved to Loveland. Betty was preceded in death by Chuck, her son John and son-in-law Paul Polston. 

Betty is survived by her brother Gary Goodall, daughters Linda (Ron) Helmers and Kathy (Paul ([deceased]) Polston, and her sons, Steven (Cindy), Jim (Lori), Dan (Penny), Dave (Debbie) and John’s widow, Mary Lou. 

Betty was so proud of her big noisy family. She doted on her 20 beautiful grandkids and 28 great grandkids. She loved bragging about them and cherished spending birthdays and chaotic holidays with a house full of kids and babies. 

We will never forget the love she brought to our lives. 

Services will be on Tuesday Nov 4th 10 am at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church Loveland Co.

Interment will be on Wednesday Nov 5th 11:30am at Ft Logan National Cemetery.

Donations in moms name may be made to St Judes Children’s Hospital.
