Donald Leon Foley

January 14, 1951 — April 23, 2026

Donald Foley, 75, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in Berthoud, Colorado. Born on January 14, 1951, in Flint, Michigan, Donald lived a life defined by hard work, dedication to family, and a deep connection to the land he called home.

Donald spent 33 years working at Kroger before retiring to pursue his true passion working on his ranch. His days were filled with horseback riding, haying, and navigating the property on his four-wheeler. Whether fixing tractors or tinkering around the ranch he built with care and pride. Donald found joy in the simple yet meaningful tasks of ranch life. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand to friends and neighbors in need, often plowing driveways and dirt roads during winter or cutting lay in the pastures.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son, Donald cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his loving wife Lori Spicer-Foley; his son Jason Spicer and daughter-in-law Missy Spicer; grandchildren Lillian Spicer, Nash Spicer, Kameron Allen, and Maddie Wright; his brother Wally Foley and sister-in-law Joyce Foley; as well as his adopted children Anthony Foley and Margary Poppin. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Rip – a gift that brought him immense happiness.

Donald was predeceased by his parents Leon and Carmoleta Foley; his sister Tena; his brother Roger Foley; his daughter Theresa Wright and son-in-law Scott Wright; and his adopted son Robert Foley.

Donald’s love for horseback riding extended beyond the ranch – he enjoyed trail rides, camping trips, and even participating in parades. His strong spirit and knack for fixing things left an indelible mark on those who knew him. Whether it was repairing a tractor or simply being there for someone in need, Donald’s presence was a source of strength and comfort.

May Doanld’s memory bring solace to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, resilience, and love will live on through the lives he touched.
