Gloria Diane Miller
Jul 1, 1943 — Oct 2, 2026
Gloria Diane Miller, 83, of Loveland, CO, lovingly known as Diane, passed away on October 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, who meant everything to her.
Diane was born in 1943 in Fort Morgan, CO, to Dan and Lydia (Meininger) Stroh. She grew up in Fort Morgan and married her high school sweetheart, Johnny Miller. Together they shared 65 years of marriage, a lifetime of memories, and, as Diane put it, “never a dull moment.” Johnny passed away in October 2024.
Diane considered herself richly blessed by her family. Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her tremendous joy. She loved attending the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cheering them on, and simply spending time together. Family was always at the heart of Diane’s life.
Diane spent her early working years in Fort Morgan at the Chicken Inn, a well-known local restaurant owned by her family. After moving to Loveland in 1980, she worked for many years in Human Resources with a security company serving Hewlett-Packard. She genuinely enjoyed people and especially valued the opportunity her work gave her to meet and interview people from all walks of life.
Diane came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in October 1970, beginning a faith that remained central throughout her life. Her strong faith in Christ touched the lives of many, leading some to know Jesus for the first time and encouraging others to renew their faith and return to the church. She was especially proud to be a charter member of Foundations Church and to watch it grow from its early beginnings into the thriving church community it is today. She loved attending church gatherings with family and friends and valued the fellowship and relationships she found there.
Diane adored her many friends and was fortunate to have friendships that spanned every season of her life—from childhood and church to the retirement years she and Johnny enjoyed RV camping with friends and, of course, her favorite sport, golf. She loved the game, was especially proud of her hole-in-one and cherished the many friendships that came with it. Diane had a true gift for hospitality and loved bringing people together for gatherings, laughter, and the simple pleasure of being with those she loved. Described by family and friends as a loving, humble, and classy lady, she continued to enjoy weekly get-togethers with friends even in her final weeks.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Kim (Randy) Specht of Greeley, CO; son, Kurt (Christie) Miller of Lone Tree, CO; grandchildren, Matthew (Jada) Specht of Eaton, CO, Shelly (Tyler) Dilley of Greeley, CO, Kalee (Kevin) Davis of Lone Tree, CO, and Tyler (Katherine) Miller of Parker, CO; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Shay, Dax, Laney, Wyatt, and Beau; sister, Vicki (Ron) Edwards, of Fort Morgan, CO; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she held close to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents; parents-in-law, Esther and Emanuel Miller; brothers, Bob, Larry, and Rick Stroh; and sisters-in-law, Peggy Tomky and Florence Kembel.
When Diane reflected on the legacy she hoped to leave behind, she wrote of strong values, kindness, gratitude, wisdom, and, most importantly, “unconditional love for all.” Her faith was at the heart of it all, bringing what she described as a “continuous wonderful joy” to her life here on Earth.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Diane’s amazing friends, neighbors, and community members who supported and cared for her throughout the last couple of years. It truly takes a village, and Diane’s village showed up for her time and again. We will be forever grateful.
