Graham Rinehart

Oct 16, 1927 — Jul 16, 2022

Graham was born and raised on a farm in Stroudsburg, PA with his parents Tom and Ada Rinehart.

He walked just across the field to a one-room schoolhouse where he spent his first eight years of education. After high school it was on to Muhlenberg College and Philadelphia Seminary. He began his ministry in two congregations in Pennsylvania. After marrying his wife Sandy they moved to Washington, NJ to establish a mission congregation. After a four-year call to Littlestown, PA, it was back to serve a three-church parish in Stroudsburg. He then built the leisure-recreation ministry in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. This ministry served many second-home developments for people from NY, NJ and Philadelphia. He worked with local congregations and many interns to build chalets for worship at two ski areas and arrange weekly worship services at more than 50 campgrounds and resorts.

In January 1977 he arrived at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland, retiring in December of 1992.

He was interim pastor at Faith Lutheran Eaton, and then Shepherd of the Valley in LaSalle. He served 6-year terms at Rainbow Trail Camp, Larimer County Mental Health Board, and Eben Ezer Home in Brush.

For twelve years Graham and Sandy delivered Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by: Tom Rinehart (Jeannie), Zan Pensack-Rinehart (Kathy), Jody, Lydia Johnson (Scott), and Betty Rinehart. Grandchildren: Seth, Rachel, Nathan, Hannah, Matthew, Lauren, Craig and Daniel. He also has 19 great-grandchildren. Such joy they bring each visit.

Graham was predeceased by his parents, brother Elmer, and son Peter.

A wonderful life came to its early end on July 16, 2022 when our Lord's promise of life eternal in His kingdom began ~ Hallelujah!
