Robert "Bob" Shott

    Our “Big Guy” went to be with Jesus on December 17, 2025. Robert “Bob” Shott was born June 4, 1945, to Hubert and Rose Shott. He graduated from Fenger High School in Chicago, Ill., Class of 1963, and also graduated from Washburn Trade School in 1964 as a certified machinist.

    With his love of music, Bob encouraged his children to play musical instruments and supported many performances, parades, and trips that involved playing in marching and concert bands. As an avid car enthusiast, Bob participated in the Redeemer Rodders group at Redeemer Lutheran Church with his beloved cherry red 1993 Corvette.

    Bob married Carole Emich on March 1, 1969. He was a lifelong patriot. Bob honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and toured on the aircraft carrier USS America. Bob retired in 2004 from Eastman Kodak after over 20 years.

    He is survived by his wife, Carole, of nearly 57 years; daughter Julie (Ken) Cerini; son Steven; sister Kathy; nephews Ken and Tom; and numerous beloved in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

    Bob’s memorial service with full military honors will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 10:30 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7755 Greenstone Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80525. A light luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
