Robert “Bob” Earl Tinkle

Robert “Bob” Earl Tinkle, 86, was born April 21, 1940 in Leadville, Colorado. He died on October 31, 2026 in Loveland, Colorado. Bob and Lynn were married on June 6, 1965, and celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier Yorktown. He worked at Climax Mine, where he got along great with his coworkers, and they were always happy to see him. He was also a member of the Leadville chapter of the Elks.

After retirement, Bob and Lynn moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, where they spent time with many relatives and friends and made wonderful memories. Later, Bob, Lynn, and Justin moved to Johnstown to be closer to Mike and his family.

Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid skier, and spent many hours volunteering with the Buddy Werner ski program, cheering on Mike and Justin. He also enjoyed weekend boating outings at Rifle Gap with friends and family. He worked hard and played hard, enjoying life to the fullest for as long as he was able. Bob had a playful sense of humor and loved making those around him laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; his sons, Justin Tinkle and Mike Tinkle (Brenda); his brother, Dale Tinkle (Ann); his grandchildren, Andrew and Jessica Schoenecker, and Austin and Briana Wakefield; and his great-grandson, Theo Wakefield.
