Warren Eugene Vickers

Warren Eugene Vickers, 85, of Loveland passed away at his home on September 19, 2026, after enduring a cancer journey with courage, strength and hope.

Warren was born on February 12, 1941, in Iowa City, Iowa to Warren Archibald and Mabel Faye (Shepard) Vickers. As a teenager, he lived with his sister, Maxine, following the death of both parents. Warren graduated from Nevada High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He married Judy Moody on June 20, 1964, in Nevada, Iowa. The family moved to Loveland in 1978 as the result of a transfer through Warren's employer, Hach Chemical.

Warren enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan, whether faithfully attending and proudly supporting the events of his sons, grandchildren and great-grandsons or following the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State Cyclones, Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; sons Scott (Dana) Vickers of Windsor and Jeff (Chris) Vickers of Greeley; grandchildren Caleb, Megan (John) Schriefer and Colton; great-grandsons Luke and Logan. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his eight siblings.

A gathering and memorial tree planting with family and friends is planned for Saturday, October 24, 2026. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Cambridge, Iowa.
