Yola Pasowicz
Aug 16, 1959 — Jul 16, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family announces passing of Yola Pasowicz, age 66, on July 16, 2026 at Pathways Hospice, Ft. Collins, CO, after a long battle with cancer. As can be imagined, the family is trying to cope with this devastating loss.
Yola was born on August 16, 1959, in Walbrzych, Poland and was the second child of Antoni and Marianna Rabuszko. In 1965, Yola and her family moved to Szczawno-Zdroj, Poland. They moved to Wroclaw, Poland in 1971, when Yola was in 5th grade. In Wroclaw, she attended Technical High School (Technikum Elektroniczne). After graduating, in 1979, she attended Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Politechnika Wroclawska) where she majored in Information Science and Management and graduated in 1986.
During her college years, in 1981 she married her husband Miroslaw Pasowicz. In 1983, her son Piotr (Peter) was born. Following her husband, Yola and Piotr (Peter) moved to United States in 1988. Family settled in Chicago suburbs of Rolling Meadows, Des Plaines, Round Lake Beach and finally Grayslake. In 1995, her daughter Monica was born. Both, Piotr (Peter) and Monica, were the joy of her life, and Yola was a devoted mother who spoke of them with great pride and found her greatest joy in watching them grow. In 2021, Yola and the family moved to Loveland, Colorado.
Yola worked on Technology side of Information Systems for various companies: Topco Associates, Wilson Sporting Goods, Hospira and finally Pfizer. At Pfizer, she transitioned to Business side where she used her extensive technical background. She was tenacious, meticulous, passionate and proud of her work. She retired at Pfizer as a Director, Customer Facing Strategy in 2025.
Throughout her life Yola exemplified love for others. Her smile and joyful demeanor made people feel welcome wherever she went. With her presence she could lift someone’s spirits and bring a smile to their face. Her daughter, Monica describes Yola as “a godly, inspirational, and courageous woman who always put others first”.
She loved mountain views, rainy days in summer, watching and listening to birds, sounds of stream, leisure bike rides, and hiking with her husband. She loved playing cards and games with family, approaching every game as a friendly competition. She found joy in gardening and planting colorful flowers.
Yola is survived by her husband Miroslaw; her son, Piotr (Peter); her daughter, Monica; her brother Waldemar; and her sister, Elzbieta. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marianna, and her father, Antoni.
