Caroline Myers Baillon (Caco)
Age 91, formerly of St. Mary's Point, MN, died August 21, 2026.
Preceded in death by husband, Austin John Baillon; parents, Paul N. and Genevieve P. Myers; sister, Catherine Myers Buscher; daughter, Caroline Bowersox (Scott).
Survived by children, Paul (Jean), Peter, Catherine Freesmeier (Joe), Alexandra Luloff (Gary), and Frances (Jake); 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born and raised in St, Paul, graduate of Summit School (1953) and Connecticut College (1957). After college, became a social worker for Catholic Charities and remained a lifelong advocate for social services and mental health, including her involvement with and support of organizations such as People Incorporated. She was a steadfast supporter of local arts and culture, appointed twice to Minnesota State Arts Board (1993 and 1997), and served as Board Member and Emeritus Director of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She was also a longtime member of and volunteer at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi.
She was an avid tennis player, enjoyed Century Club, and attending St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and Vocal Essence performances. Her chocolate chip cookies disappeared as fast as she could bake them. She was a kind, gentle person endlessly devoted to her family, both past and present.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am Tuesday September 1, 2026, at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, 16770 South 13th Street, Lake St. Croix Beach, MN. Reception at the church immediately following the mass. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the Mass from 9:30am to 11:00am.
