Gale Wilson Robb

Gale Wilson Robb, age 80, died on April 1, 2026 at United Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Gale had valiantly and hopefully battled many health challenges over the past several years and she finally succumbed to the toll they took on her body and mind.

Gale was the beloved wife of Derek Robb, a wonderful mother to Richard (Nicole) Robb and Hannah (Matthew) Kuhn and loving grandmother of Faelyn, Zace and Miles Robb and Leni, Addie and Polly Kuhn. She loved them all very much and in return they loved her very much.

Gale is predeceased by her only sibling, Nikki Obourn of Wray, CO.

Gale was born on November 14, 1945 to Clarence Baer (C.B.) Wilson and Dixie Lee (Aber) Wilson in Denver, Colorado where her mother’s family lived. Gale’s father was a Captain in the United States Air Force and the family moved from Denver to Tokyo, Japan, Honolulu, Hawaii, Fairbanks, Alaska, Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Washington D.C. throughout the 1950s and 60s, but Gale always considered Denver to be home.

Gale graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1964, from American University in Washington D.C. in 1968 with a degree in International Studies and from the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in 1993 with a Master of Divinity degree. She was ordained as a pastor in the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area in 1993 at Macalester-Plymouth United Church.

Gale specialized in interim ministry, helping churches to transition between senior pastors, a process that typically takes 2-3 years. She greatly enjoyed the many congregations, committees, and groups she led in her more than three decades of ordained ministry. She was deeply capable, grounded, and generous with her time and spirit with both those she served and among the Presbytery colleagues.

A worship service in Witness to the Resurrection will be held at the House of Hope Presbyterian Church, 797 Summit Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55105, at 1PM (CST) on Friday, April 24, 2026.
