Jean Hsiung Allen

Jean Hsiung Allen of Aitkin passed away October 18, 2025, at Golden Horizons in Aitkin, Mn. She was born in China on 9/10/1939 and the family made their way to Taiwan during World War II. From there, she emigrated to the United States in the 60’s, attended Northwestern University in Boston where she earned a master’s degree in mathematics in 1972, and became a naturalized US citizen in 1975. She is survived by her husband Richard Allen, sisters Helen Yang and Carol Huang in California, a brother Kuang-Kuo Hsiung in Taiwan. Preceded in death by her parents, older brother (You-Tien Hsiung), sister (Ming-Chen Hsiung) and half-sister (Trei-Chen Hsiung). There are also has nieces and nephews in the USA, Delphine Huang, Jennifer Huang, Martin Yang, Alice Yang.

Jean was a kind and generous person who brightened the day of everyone she met.

Services will be held in St. Paul, Mn at Willwerscheid funeral home, 1167 Grand Ave, St. Paul, MN 55105 on November 14 at 10:00 am and interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
