Ken Kastner age 79 passed away on April 5, 2026( Easter Sunday) surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Maxine and Walter Kastner and his beloved wife Diane of 39 years, as well as his stepdaughter; Catherine Fleetham and stepson; John Fleetham.

Ken is survived by his grandson; Edmond Kirby, his sister; Gerry (Jim) Olin, niece; Jolin (George) Garcia, grandniece; Maya Garcia, and nephew; James Olin, his sister; Kay (Mike) Savard, sisters-in-law; Mary Catherine (Tom) Gale, Beth (Terry) Pederson, brother-in-law; Pat( Marlee)Walker, sister-in-law; Rosie (Mike-deceased) Walker and many nieces and nephews from his wife’s side of the family.

Ken did many things in his life. He served in the National Guard, graduated from Brown Institute and worked for Eastman Kodak! He eventually started his own business; Amtech, repairing microfilming machines. After Ken retired and sold his business, he built Websites for individuals and small businesses! He loved working on his personal computer and helping others with computer problems.

Ken also loved music! He played the guitar and sang! In his younger years he played in a band, “The Decades” with friends! The band played in many establishments in Minnesota and Wisconsin!

Through the years, Ken acquired a love for the Nisswa area in Northern Minnesota! Shortly after he and Diane married, they bought a cabin in that area and spent many wonderful years there enjoying the lake with family and friends!

Ken was a talented, great guy and will be missed by many!

A service will take place for Ken on Monday, April 27th at 11 AM.  It will take place at Augustana Lutheran Church on 1400 Robert Street South in West St. Paul, Minnesota, 55118. The visitation will be prior to the service and begin at 10 AM.

Memorials preferred to either the Cancer Society or Augustana Lutheran Church.
