Marina Elnesky

Marina Elnesky was born in Russia on September 2, 1940. She immigrated to the United States and became a naturalized citizen in 1998. Being a US citizen was an immense source of pride for her, as was owning her own property, a condominium in Brooklyn Center. Marina enjoyed being outdoors, taking walks, and tending the gardens in public spaces at her condo. Marina was a vivacious personality, evidenced by her love of dresses, scarves, coats, and other clothing in bright colors.

Marina died peacefully on July 24, 2026. Special thanks to Suite Living Little Canada and Suite Living Hospice for their excellent care, and to St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral for their prayer and visitation ministries. Thanks also to Bob for being a great friend to Marina for over 25 years. 

A service will be held at the St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral Cemetery Chapel, 3025 Stinson Blvd NE, St Anthony, MN 55418, on Wednesday August 5th at 11:00am. Reviewal at 10:30am. Burial immediately following service.
