Aaron H. Hunsucker, Jr.

Aaron H. Hunsucker, Jr., lovingly known as "Huey," of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on December 11, 1939, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Aaron H. Hunsucker, Sr. and Audrey Wannell Hunsucker.

Aaron dedicated many years of his life to his career as an electrician, where his strong work ethic and dependability were evident in all he did. Outside of work, he found great joy in the outdoors and appreciated the beauty and simplicity of nature. He was a humble, hardworking man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand and was always willing to help those around him.

He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Stevens of Florida; his two daughters, Ginger Herron (Victor) of Irmo, South Carolina, and Janean Welch (Greg) of Kansas City, Kansas; six cherished grandchildren, Eric, Brooke, Aaron, Juliann, Carol Grace, and Emily Kate; and two beloved great-grandchildren, Elijah and Graclynn.

In addition to his parents, Aaron was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Carol Lorraine Brown Hunsucker; three sisters; and one brother.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Aaron's life during a visitation on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Woodridge Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Aaron's memory.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Aaron's friends and caregivers at the Heritage at Lowman Haltiwanger unit in Chapin, South Carolina, as well as to the many family members and friends whose compassion, kindness, and unwavering support brought comfort throughout his final years.

Aaron was more than a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend—he was a compassionate, loving, and giving human being who touched countless lives. He had a generous heart and a selfless spirit, always putting others before himself and offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or a kind word whenever it was needed. His warmth, humility, and genuine care for people will be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared, the example he set, and the countless lives he touched will remain his lasting legacy. He will be remembered always by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
