Juanita Kay Mitchell Lee

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Juanita “Nita” Kay Mitchell Lee of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on February 2, 2025. Nita was born on February 4, 1944 in Columbia, SC to Robert Eugene Mitchell, Sr. and Pearly Rochester Mitchell. Nita was predeceased in death by her parents and her loving faithful husband Jesse David Lee.

She is survived by her son Mark (Neta) Lee and daughter Cynthia Lee Sink of Lexington and her grandchildren David Wayne Sink and Jesse Tyler Sink. She is also survived by her brother Robert Eugene Mitchell, Jr.

Nita was blessed with a very beautiful voice and she greatly enjoyed singing with her children. 

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff and caregivers at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill, SC and the staff and caregivers at White Oak Manor in Columbia, SC, for the love and attention they gave to Nita.
