Mary Anne Britts

Mary Anne Beacham Britts was born in Norfolk, VA on June 22, 1949. She died on August 27, 2026, age 77. Her parents were Vernon V. Beacham and Sonora Divers Beacham. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Vernon V. Beacham II.

She grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and graduated from Princess Anne High School in 1967. She graduated from Radford University (VA) in 1970 with a BA in Early Childhood Education. She received a ME Degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University (IN) in 1974.

She married her lifelong love Robert (Bob) Peyton Britts on January 2, 1971. She is survived by her husband, her daughter Melissa Anne Britts Middlebrooks, husband Zach, and grandsons James Austin and Zachary Logan Middlebrooks of Alpharetta GA. She also is survived by daughters Janna Elizabeth Britts of Mount Pleasant, SC and Lynnette (Nettie) Peyton Britts of Lexington, SC.

She was married for 55 years. Mary Anne taught students in public and private schools in IN, TN and SC for 39 years.

She loved her daughters and grandsons and visited them whenever she could. She and Bob traveled all over the United States and four foreign countries.
