Adrienne Lee Norris

August 26, 1949 – June 2, 2026

Adrienne Lee Norris, age 76, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born on August 26, 1949, in Long Beach, California, to Richard and Jeanne Wills, Lee lived a life marked by love for God, family, and country. She was formerly of San Diego, California; Hesperia, Michigan; Bushnell, Florida; Sierra Vista, and Chandler, Arizona.

Lee earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix and was a Certified Public Accountant. She pursued her career in accounting and bookkeeping—following in her father’s footsteps—while raising her family with dedication and care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Robert Wills and Jeanne Adrienne (Hornwegg) Wills; her husbands, John Duane Norris and John Raymond Stephens; and her siblings, Lydia Lynn Wills, Richard Robert Wills, and Dale Barry Wills.

Lee is survived by her siblings, Bryon Bruce Wills, Wade William Wills and his wife Carla, James Ben Wills and his wife Stephanie, and Judy Luara Contreras, children: James Anthony Stephens and his wife Mistie, Tammy Miller, William Wayne Cooper and his wife Jaclyn, Jennifer Lynn Priese and her husband David, and Jeanette Tiffany Stephens; along with 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Lee loved the Lord and the study of His Word. She was thoughtful and caring, known for supporting charitable organizations and helping those in need. She cherished her family and enjoyed spending time around the table with good meals, followed by a fun game of Scrabble (at which she was unbeatable), Monopoly, Yahtzee, and a card game or two, even winning a tournament. She loved and lived every moment she was given, always remaining grateful with a quiet and sometimes loud strength. She never complained and always looked to a better tomorrow.

Her children remember that she instilled in them a strong work ethic, compassion, a sense of family duty, and the importance of kindness.

Lee very much looked forward to experiencing all that heaven has to offer and to being reunited with her loved ones, often saying, “I’ll see you on the other side!” To those she loved, she would say: “Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me.”

Her strength in times of adversity inspired us all, showing how to face life’s challenges with grace and determination. Her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught and the love she shared. We will miss her comforting hugs and unwavering support.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, and prayers. May God continue to bless you.

We celebrate her life and return to our Heavenly Father on June 20, 2026, with a 9:00 AM service in the Memorial Garden at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 739 W. Erie Street, Chandler, Arizona 85225, and a Celebration of Life Open House at 1434 W. Silver Keys Court, Gilbert, Arizona 85233, starting at 10 AM and serving Lee’s famous enchiladas throughout the day.

In accordance with Lee’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Condolences may be sent to the family, and donations may be given to the American Cancer Society in her memory.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
