Beverly Kaye Griesheimer

Beverly Kaye (Morrison) Griesheimer, age 87, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Tempe, Arizona. She was born on March 9, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio, to Elwood and Evelyn (Lindsey) Morrison.

Beverly lived a life marked by compassion, service, faith, and a genuine care for others. She graduated from Ashville High School in Ashville, Ohio, before continuing her education at the School of Nursing at White Cross Hospital, now known as Riverside Methodist Hospital, in Columbus.

Her calling as a nurse became an important part of her life. Throughout her career, Beverly cared for patients in hospitals in both Ohio and Arizona, with her service as a Veterans Administration nurse holding a particularly meaningful place in her professional life. Her many years in nursing reflected the kindness, dedication, and caring spirit she shared so freely with others.

Faith and fellowship were also central to Beverly's life. She worshipped weekly at Desert Cross Lutheran Church in Tempe, where she was a devoted member of a ChristCare group for more than 20 years. She generously gave her time to her community as well, volunteering for many years at Hidden Treasures Thrift Shop.

Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Philip Griesheimer; her parents, Elwood and Evelyn (Lindsey) Morrison; her son, Richard Griesheimer; and her brother, Jay Morrison.

She is survived by her son, Robert Griesheimer of Dayton, Ohio; granddaughters, Sandy of Dayton, Ohio, and Courtney of West Milton, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kristy, Mason, and Colton; and great-great-grandchildren, Amelia and Ashton. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Miriam Morrison of York, South Carolina; cousins throughout Ohio and Georgia; her dear friend, Denman Pence; and many cherished friends in both Ohio and Arizona.

Beverly will be remembered for the many lives she touched throughout her 87 years—as a mother and grandmother, a nurse and caregiver, a woman of faith, a volunteer, and a treasured friend. Her legacy of compassion, service, and devotion to others will live on through the family and friends who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
