Cynthia Suzanne Smith

Cynthia Suzanne Smith was born on December 29, 1957, to Marion David Smith and Helen Christine Smith at Catherine Booth Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. After spending several years in Cincinnati, the Smith family moved to Sacramento, California. As a teenager, Cynthia relocated to Pasadena, California, where she graduated from Pasadena High School and married her high school sweetheart. From that union, she welcomed her first son, Devin. In the years that followed, she was blessed with three more children: Ramsey, Gabrielle, and Nicholas from her second union.

Throughout her life, Cynthia believed in striving for excellence, not only for her children, but for herself. As a working mother, raising four children, she attended the University of Phoenix in the evenings while balancing the responsibilities of family and career. In 2007, she earned her bachelor's degree in Business Management. Never one to stop pursuing her goals, Cynthia continued her education at Grand Canyon University, where she graduated with honors in 2013, earning a master's degree in Organizational Management. Her dedication to personal and professional growth was evident throughout her life. During her studies, she also continued to advance professionally, receiving promotions while building a successful career in the financial services industry, where she worked for more than 19 years.

Cynthia approached life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a desire to experience all it had to offer. She loved traveling with her family and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Whether cruising through the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada, visiting Kansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, or exploring the beauty and history of Italy, she embraced every opportunity to see the world.

She was also a source of encouragement and wisdom to many. Cynthia inspired others to look beyond their circumstances and believe in their potential. One of her favorite sayings was, "If one door closes, another door will open for you." Those words reflected her optimistic spirit and unwavering belief that challenges could be overcome.

Above all else, Cynthia's greatest love was her family. She shared a deep and devoted bond with her fiancé, Roger, and cherished each of her four children. She was the foundation of her family, offering guidance, strength, encouragement, and unconditional love. Cynthia was fiercely protective of her children and always wanted the very best for them. No matter how old they became, she never stopped being their advocate, supporter, and source of comfort. Her unwavering love and devotion helped shape the lives of her children and will remain one of her greatest legacies. Known for her grace, kindness, and resilience, Cynthia touched the lives and hearts of countless people. She was the pillar of her family and driving force toward the success of each family member. Her warmth, wisdom, and steadfast support will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Cynthia passed away peacefully at her home in Chandler, Arizona, on September 1, 2026.She is survived by her beloved fiancé, Roger Weber; her children, Devin Devereaux (Tiffany), Ramsey Jones, Gabrielle Jones, and Nicholas Jones; her father, David Smith; her brother, Dwayne Smith (Marvel); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though Cynthia is no longer with us physically, her love, strength, wisdom, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We will carry her memory with us always and remain forever grateful for the time we shared with her. Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed. We love you, Mom.
