Harriett Mae Jackson

September 16, 1934 – July 24, 2026

Harriett Mae Jackson (McCommons), age 91, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026.

Harriett was born on September 16, 1934, in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, to Frances Emma (Walker) McCommons and George Wallace McCommons. She graduated from Edinboro High School and continued her education at Edinboro State Teachers College.

Harriett met Daniel Charles Jackson while they were students in high school, beginning a relationship that would grow into a lifetime together. They were married on May 8, 1954, and were blessed with three daughters.

In 1967, Harriett and Daniel relocated their family to Arizona. Over the following 49 years, they made their homes in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa, where they built a life filled with family, meaningful relationships, and cherished memories.

Harriett began her professional career with Sears and Roebuck and later became the office manager for Daniel’s construction company, a role she faithfully held for 30 years. Her dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic were evident throughout her many years of service.

Above all, Harriett’s greatest legacy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jan Field (John), Sandi Willard (Gene), and Jill Weidman (John); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Wallis Ann Woitovich.

Harriett lived a long and meaningful life surrounded by generations of family. Her memory will be treasured by those who knew and loved her, and the legacy she created will continue through the generations that follow.
