Linda Cherry Sims

Linda Cherry Sims, a resident of Mesa, AZ, went to meet her Heavenly Father on April 27, 2026. Born February 17, 1941, in Charleston, MO, to Raymond and Linnie Cherry. She lived in Charleston, MO for many years prior to moving to Mesa, AZ. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

On August 20, 1960, she married Larry Joe Sims who preceded her in death on September 2, 2020.

She is survived by two children and three grandchildren: Julie Anne Sims Parrish, daughter (husband Gregory Parrish), Taylor Anne Brown, granddaughter, Ryan Matthew Sims, son (wife Sara Sims), Ryan Matthew Sims II and Landry Ellis Sims, grandsons. She is also survived by five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law, Jeannie Tatum Cherry, Ginger Sims Riehn (husband Stan), Beverly Sims Tidwell (husband Bay), Cherie Sims Abner (husband Ron) and Addie Sims + many nephews, nieces and great nephews and great nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Linnie Jones Cherry, two sisters, Patsy Cherry Smoot and Pansy Cherry Pruitt, two brothers, Robert Wayne Cherry and Wallace Raymond Cherry, four brothers-in-law, Billy Neal Smoot, Carl (Ed) Pruitt, Alfred Baker and Randy Sims + four nephews, Richard Lee (Rick) Smoot, Neal Smoot, Dustin Smoot and Bates Smoot.

Linda was a very successful Realtor in the Phoenix Metropolitan area for 50+ years. Her daughter, Julie, has continued her business for the last 32+ years. Her son, Ryan, is an Engineering Manager with Assa Abloy.
