Marvin Cape

Mar 9, 1941 — Sep 21, 2026

Marvin lived exactly as he was — steady, stubborn in the best way, loyal, and full of conviction. He didn’t pretend, perform, or bend himself to please people. He was who he was, every day of his life, and that was one of the things I loved most about him.

He was my Sugar Bear, and I was his Princess. “Forever,” he would say — and he meant it.

Marvin worked hard, cared deeply, and faced life head-on. He didn’t slow down because someone told him he was supposed to. He didn’t act fragile. He didn’t act old. He lived with purpose, with humor, and with a quiet strength that carried both of us through more than most people will ever know.

He wasn’t perfect, and he never tried to be. He was real. And that made him wonderful.

I will miss him every day — his presence, his steadiness, his way of seeing the world, and the way he loved me. But I will carry him with me, in every step I take forward. His life mattered. His love mattered. And I am grateful for every year we had together.

Forever, Norma
