In Loving Memory of Nicholas Ronald Valverde

Age 48 | Tucson, Arizona

Nicholas Ronald Valverde, affectionately known as "Nick," passed away peacefully at the age of 48 at Banner University Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by his family.

Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Nick was a man who worked hard, played hard, and lived life on his own terms. He was talented, creative, quick-witted, and had a sense of humor that could make an entire room burst into laughter. He had a larger-than-life personality and a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories.

Music was one of Nick's greatest passions. A gifted guitarist, singer, songwriter, and performer, he had a remarkable ability to bring his ideas to life through music. Whether performing on stage in downtown Tucson, writing original songs, or simply jamming with friends and family, Nick was in his element with a guitar in his hands. Fellow musicians remember his powerful vocals, incredible guitar playing, and the energy he brought to every performance. His original music left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to hear it.

Nick was also a man of many layers. He had an enormous heart, a generous spirit, and a deeply caring side that wasn't always visible to everyone. He could be stubborn, outspoken, and sometimes misunderstood, but those who knew him best understood that beneath his rough edges was a man with a tremendous capacity for love.

Nick lived life hard, and over the years, that lifestyle took a serious toll on his health. Ultimately, his liver could no longer withstand the damage. His journey was not always an easy one, and like so many of us, he faced personal struggles and made choices that came with consequences. But those struggles were only one part of his story. They never erased his goodness, his remarkable talents, or the love he had for the people closest to him.

That softer side of Nick was especially evident in his love for his dogs. They were much more than pets to him; they were his loyal companions and an important part of his life. He loved them dearly, and the affection and care he showed them revealed a tenderness that spoke volumes about his heart. They brought him companionship, comfort, and unconditional love through life's ups and downs.

Family meant a great deal to Nick. Through life's ups and downs, the bonds of family remained deeply meaningful to him. Above all, Nick loved his three beautiful children, Tristian, Gavin, and Delaney. They were a source of tremendous pride, and the love he carried for them was genuine and deep. Whatever challenges life brought his way, being their father was an important part of who he was.

Nick is survived by his three beloved children, Tristian Valverde, Gavin Valverde, and Delaney Valverde; his mother, Mary Valverde; his father, Louis Valverde Jr.; his brother, Christopher Valverde; and his sister, Tammyra Hernandez, along with extended family, lifelong friends, and fellow musicians.

Since his passing, stories and memories have poured in from those who knew him. Some remember his incredible musical talent and the nights spent playing together. Others recall his humor, his friendship, and the unforgettable moments they shared. Each memory offers another glimpse into the person Nick was and the lives he touched along the way.

Nick's life was not perfect, nor was it always easy. But it was his life, filled with music, laughter, love, adventure, mistakes, lessons, and moments worth remembering. He was a son, a father, a brother, a musician, and a friend. He was human, with all the complexities that come with it, and he deserved to be loved and remembered for the whole person he was.

His family hopes that those who knew Nick will remember the good times, share his music, laugh at the stories, and carry forward the kindness and love he was capable of giving.

Rest peacefully, Nick. May you finally find the peace that life did not always give you. Your music may have fallen silent, but your song will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.
