Established in 1906, McDermott-Crockett Mortuary is Santa Barbara's oldest operating funeral home. It is housed in a historic chapel built in 1875, just younger than the Old Mission Santa Barbara. With over 118 years of dedicated service to the community, our mortuary is committed to providing full-service premier funeral care. Our compassionate and Spanish-speaking staff ensures effective communication and support during challenging times. McDermott-Crockett Mortuary caters to diverse cultural needs, offering multicultural funerals and preparation areas for incense burning, ritual washing, and a Tahara room. For those of the Jewish faith, we can arrange for a shomer.

Price is for burial with no visitation or formal services and ceremonies. Does not include casket, outer burial container, or cemetery costs.
Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff;
Removal of your loved one as well as transportation to the cemetery for burial (within a 50 mile radius of the funeral home).
Care of your loved one until burial is complete. Time and date of the burial are at the discretion of the funeral director.
Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
All the necessary permits and authorizations.
Free self-service online obituary.
Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, police escort to the gravesite, and more - at additional charge.
