Our experience with Hiers-Baxley funeral services was very professional. The staff were very nice. They made me feel really good. I appreciated it when they brought my mother to the car and seat belted her urn in the backseat. That meant a lot to us that she was safe in the car for her trip to her resting place. I would recommend this funeral home to everyone. We had a great experience with the staff. If you can have a great experience at a funeral home that is.

My Mother and I first met with Gabreila to discuss cremation options and plans at the end of October, 2025. We spent some time looking at options and discussed them. In mid-November, my mother and I met with Gabreila again and finalized the plan my mother had decided upon. Two weeks later my mother had a fall and passed away on December 2. Hiers-Baxley was contacted to notify that my mother had passed and they went immediately to retrieve her body. That same afternoon, Lacey, the funeral director, contacted me to set up a meeting to discuss and review the next steps. Lacey was very kind and thoughtful in this meeting. Everything was reviewed and final paperwork was signed. During the next two weeks, a representative from Hiers-Baxley kept in contact with me to keep me informed as where we were in the process and when to come to the funeral home to pick up the death certificates and then the ashes. I can not thank the staff of Hiers-Baxley enough for helping my mother and I in the pre-planning process and then in the actual steps to finalize my mother’s wishes. Hiers-Baxley staff were professional, kind and thoughtful in this difficult situation and loss.

We appreciated the kindness and gentleness with which we were treated by the staff at Hiers-Baxley. They were efficient and respectful and helped with everything we needed. In difficult times like this, it's makes all the difference to have people like them to depend on!
