Robert Lewis Thompson Jr. 61, of Kingsport, left his earth after a hard fought battle with cancer. He enjoyed working with leather along with guns and making knives.. Robert worked many years at Slip Knot and Cap-Snap Seal. He was a familiar face at Jonesborough flea Market. Robert was at peace with his Lord and Savior and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Lewis and wife Hazel Edith Rhodes Thompson; brother, Oscar Floyd Thompson; sister, Carolyn Sue Snyder. Survivors include sisters, Brenda Clay, Osie Wood, and Nancy Freeman; Several nieces and nephews; a very close friend Rick Crawford. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport is serving the Thompson family.
