Ruth Kelley
November 28th, 1936 - October 26th, 2003
" Ruth (Stanton) Kelley, 66, died Sunday as a result of an automobile accident. Ruth was born in Arlington, MA November 28, 1936 and grew up in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School, where she was a avid equestrian and medal winning swimmer. She spent her early married life in Ashburnham, later moving to Wilbraham, where she lived from 1973 to 1983. She then moved to Annandale, NJ where she lived until 1996, when she relocated to Belchertown. Ruth's interests included travel, playing bridge, gourmet cooking, and video games. She also loved animals, the Red Sox and Bruins, and was known to play a few slot machines. Professionally, she held various part time postions, including Kelly Services, the Springfield Foundry, and most recently was a driver for Northampton Honda. She was also active in the Wilbraham Women's Club and was a former Cub Scout Den Mother. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 43 years, William James Kelley, II, and her devoted son Dana R. Kelley of Belchertown, along with her brother Fred C. Stanton of Marco Island, FL. Ruth's funeral service will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St, (Rte 202) with a committal service at 11:00 a.m. at the Mass. Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours will be Thurs. evening from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the Jimmy Fund at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445-7226."
