He retired from Corning Cable Systems in Winston Salem in 2020. Robert loved the outdoors, spending time riding his bike at Salem Lake, riding in the Tour to Tanglewood for several years and especially taking his grandchildren to hike around the lake. Another joy was our yearly family camping trips to Black Mountain every Father’s Day Weekend. But Robert’s greatest joy of all were his sons and grandchildren. Robert will be missed by many but, most of all, by his family.
