Biography Kernersville-James Brooks Liddick, 77, passed away June 17, 2014. A native of Loysville, Pennsylvania, "Jim" was the son of the late Anna Elizabeth Wilson and Charles Edward Liddick. He began his career with AMP Corporation in Harrisburg, PA. He had achieved his degree in Finance, with a Minor in Law, from Wharton School of Business. He earned his degrees while working full time and attending night school for six years. Jim came to North Carolina in 1982 as he had excelled in his work and went from Cost Estimator to Business Manager. He retired in 1998 after 41 years of service. In 1974 he became the Virginia State Trap Shooting Champion. After retirement he loved spending time in his cabin in Virginia where he spent time hunting, fishing, and riding his horses. He was an active member of both Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and Wharf Hill United Methodist Church in Sugar Grove, Virginia. At Wharf Hill, he enjoyed delivering meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas to over 150 needy people. He also was active with the United Methodist Men of both churches. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years Lynn Vercruyssen Liddick of the home; daughters Pamela Hill of Lititz, PA, and Jamie Dechter and Warren of New York, NY; granddaughters Alexandra, Samantha, Jessica, and Jenna; sister Peg Bitting of Summerdale, PA; brother Charles E. Liddick, Jr. and Vera of Lake of the Woods, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family and friends. Jim requested there be no services and asked in lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, 1510 Bunker Hill-Sandy Ridge Road, Kernersville, NC, 27284, Wharf Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 295, Sugar Grove, Virginia, 24375, or Hospice of Forsyth, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC, 27103.
