Send Flowers Billy Gene East December 18, 1939 - October 18, 2013 Kernersville-Billy Gene East, 73, went to be with his Lord on Friday October 18, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday October 22, 2013 in the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00PM at the Old East Family Cemetery in Danbury. A native of Stokes County, now retired, Billy was a contract driver for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Edith Brown and Thomas East, and his wife Marie Doty East. Survivors include his daughters Tina Johnson of Walkertown, Sheila DeMoss and Jeff of Kernersville; sons Billy Ray East and Wiley East of Kernersville, Robert Rogers and Cathie of Pinnacle; as well as numerous grand and great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 6PM-8PM Monday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel.
