David C. Gross Funeral Homes
Stephen S. Schneider
February 13th, 1940 - April 21st, 2015
Dr. Stephen S. Schneider, 75, of St. Petersburg, passed away April 21, 2015. Dr. Schneider was born in Brooklyn, NY, and after serving in the Army, practiced Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Binghamton, NY for almost 25 years. Although he was an avid golfer, fisherman, and cook, Dr. Schneider was best known for his compassion, loyalty, and for taking care of those around him - patients, friends and family alike. He is survived by Gail, his beloved wife of 52 years; son, Alan (Julie); daughters, Eileen, and Marni (John); brother, Barry (Nina) Schneider; and sister-in-law, Phyllis (George) Gluck. A chapel service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 24th at the David C. Gross Funeral Home, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg. Burial will follow in the Temple Beth-El section of Royal Palm Cemetery - South. With his dry wit, Dr. Schneider requests no flowers - they would still bother his sinuses - and suggests donations in his memory to The Chordoma Foundation (chordomafoundation.org) or the National Psoriasis Foundation (psoriasis.org). David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
