Michele Dale Horwitz of New York, NY, age 47, passed away on December 5, 2012 after a long battle with colon cancer. Michele was born on February 28th, 1965 in the Bronx to Jerry and Diane Horwitz. Michele grew up in New City, New York where she graduated from Clarkstown North High School in 1983. She attended Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York where she earned a B.S in Fashion Merchandising. For the past 7 years, Michele worked for Macy's as merchandise planner in Herald Square. Michele was supported by a circle of loving friends whom she was very close with. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, enthusiasm for music and her loving devotion to her nieces Jessica and Amanda. Michele actively participated with the Colon Cancer Alliance where she championed Colon Cancer research and early detection information distribution. Michele is survived by her mother Diane Horwitz, along with her brother Steven, sister-in law Laura Horwitz, and nieces Amanda and Jessica, all of St. Petersburg, FL. Graveside services will be 1 PM Friday, December 7, 2012 at Beth-El / Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus (Washington Township) New Jersey. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery office at 12:30PM. David C.
