HODGES - Nearl A., 66, of Madeira Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2006 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Born in Ray City, Georgia, he moved to Tampa in his early childhood years and to Pinellas County in the late 1960's. He then moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1978 where he was an insurance agent and owner of Metro Insurance Company. In 1993 he moved to Madeira Beach. He served in the US Air Force. Survivors include his wife of thirty-five years, Nancy; a son, a daughter, his father and mother, J.D. and Reva Hodges of Middleburg, Florida; a brother, J.L. Hodges of Seattle, Washington; four sisters, Cookie Vinglione of Orlando, Alice Fay Colding and Mikey Myatt, both of Jacksonville, Florida, Dodie Tauch of Middleburg, Florida and one grandson, Travis Rehke of Seattle, Washington. Family will receive friends Friday, December 8, 2006 3-5 PM at David C. Gross Funeral Home, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg. Burial will be private. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
