Beatrice Jean Oman, 82 of Barnum died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 in her home. She was born March 27, 1920 in Barnum to George and Florence (Ribbey) Pringle. Beatrice married George Oman on January 25, 1941 in Carlton. They lived in the Blackhoof area where Beatrice raised their four children and farmed. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church and active in the church service group. She enjoyed flower gardening. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, George Oman in 1982; a son, Richard in 2001 and a brother, Don Pringle in 1980. She is survived by her children, Carol (Rueben) Westendorf of Barnum, Darrell Oman of Barnum, Darlene (Richard) Okerlund of Esko; her sister, Jeanette (Raymond) Guite of Barnum; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 25, 2002 in Elim Lutheran Church, 2077 County Road 6 in Blackhoof Township. Burial was in Elim Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Northland Funeral Home, Mahtowa.
