It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Rae Rada. Born Beverly Rae Jordan, July 21, 1942. Bev was 82 years of age. She resided in Meridian, Idaho and passed peacefully, May 8, 2025. Bev was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Beverly was born in Armour, South Dakota to Clifford Vern Jordan, and Minnie Leone Jordan. Bev was the 7th of 8 children, and last surviving sibling. She married her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, John Duane Rada, April 16, 1960, in Southern California.

Bev and Duane lived in Southern California where they eventually began a family. Bev found herself mother to 3 toddlers, all ages were within 2 years, from oldest to youngest.

In 1974 Beverly moved with her family to Idaho. While living in Idaho, one of her many jobs was with the Idaho State School and Hospital. Beverly was a CNA and a caregiver. Care-giving was Bev’s Superpower.

Beverly’s Faith was important to her. It was exercised through her life while battling and overcoming cancer. Beverly was a survivor of colon cancer, lung cancer, and breast cancer, over the course of 22 years. Beverly made moments count. One of her favorite things to do was sit, have coffee, and devote time to whoever was visiting. Her favorite coffee mug reflected this. The mug asked the simple question, “How do I take my coffee?” The answer, “Seriously, Very Seriously”. Bev would read that and laugh. Bev did take her coffee seriously, but she also enjoyed taking her coffee with friends and family.

Beverly was considerate of others and had a heart of God. This was demonstrated, over, and over, throughout the course of her life including housing mentally challenged clients, providing care for them; providing end of life care for Earl, “Shorty”, Rada; fostering grandchildren; housing grandchildren and great grandchildren; and bringing in several homeless, so they would have a place to call home.

Lots of children called her “Mom” and “Grandma”.

Beverly is loved and will be greatly missed.

Beverly is survived by children: John and Beth Rada, Chad and Khris Rada, Ross and Renee DeRock; twelve grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren.

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
