Robert T. Omiecinski, age 86, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Oak Lawn, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 30, 2025.
Born on September 4, 1938, in Chicago, Bob was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather. He was married for 61 years to his beloved wife, Mary Win (nee Farritor), with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion.
He was the cherished father of Dan (Mary), Kathy (Joe), Bob (Claudette), Mike (Amy), Cris (Chris) and Steve (Alysia); the adoring grandfather of 14 and the proud great-grandfather of 3. He is also survived by his brother Rich, his sister Carol and much extended family and friends. All of them brought him endless joy and pride.
A proud veteran, Bob served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He later worked as an electrician with IBEW local 134 for 40 years, where he was respected for his dedication, skill and strong work ethic.
Bob enjoyed lifting weights at the gym and working on crossword puzzles. His warmth, humor and unwavering devotion to family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on July 25, 2025, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Tucson. Mourners are welcome to gather at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. A graveside blessing will follow at All Faiths Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's honor to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, where he was a longtime volunteer.
