Joann Seretha Parks

Joann Seretha Parks, age 86, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, in Bradenton.

Joann was born on February 10, 1939, in Bradenton, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kelly Parks Sr.; her daughter, Jean Slaughter; and her son-in-law, Rick Slaughter.

She is survived by her sons, Frank “Buddy” Parks Jr. and his wife Rhonda, and Gary Parks and his wife Sharon; her cherished grandchildren, Michelle and Mark Dingman, Kathy and Keith O’Brien, Michael and Trista Parks, Kelly and Lexi Parks, Nicole and Chip Faulconer, and Brooke Parks-Boldin; ten great-grandchildren, Clayton Cayman Gutshall, Jace Gutshall, James Keen, Trent Boldin, Josiah, Madison, Jeremiah, Maddox, Peyton, and Isla Parks, and Caleb Dingman; and two great-great-grandchildren, Quinn and Graham Gutshall.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial at Braden River Cemetery. A reception will be held afterward at Happy Gospel Church in Oneco, Florida.

Joann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
