Gregory Steven Hom
June 20th, 1972 - September 11th, 2025
Gregory Steven Hom, 53, of Walnut Creek, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. Born on June 20, 1972, Greg was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his mother, Hester Hom; his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Michael Lamberson, his niece, Ava Lamberson, and nephew, Nikolas Lamberson. He was preceded in death by his father, John Hom, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.
A proud graduate of UC Davis and member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Greg earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering and dedicated over 30 years to the medical device industry as a manufacturing engineer. His career was marked by a commitment to innovation, quality, and improving the lives of many through his expertise and education.
Outside of his professional life, Greg found joy in the simple pleasures.
A true sports fan, he loved watching games and spending time on the golf course. As a foodie, he was always on the lookout for new culinary experiences.
In honoring his memory, we celebrate the many ways he touched our lives and he will be deeply missed.
A private memorial service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stanford Medical Center.
