DeAnna Kay Hillman, born DeAnna Kay Hancock on July 12, 1942, in Huron, South Dakota, passed away on October 1, 2025. She was the daughter of Howard Hancock and Juanita Fern Green (McClendon). She grew up surrounded by the love of her family, including her siblings Maurice Hancock, Sandra Edwards, and Danny Green, all of whom preceded her in death. DeAnna graduated from Adams City High School, an accomplishment she was proud of and a connection she maintained throughout her life. She devoted her life to her family. She was the loving mother of three children: DJ Bettis(deceased), Terry Schadegg and his husband Ken McLeod, and Michelle Manion. She also took great pride in being a grandmother to her grandson, Randy Schadegg, and his wife Jesica, who brought her joy and carried forward her legacy of love. DeAnna made her home in Commerce City, Colorado, where she became a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She built lasting friendships and enjoyed the fellowship, community spirit, and sense of belonging that came with her involvement. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her son DJ. She is survived by her children Terry (Ken) and Michelle, her grandson Randy (Jesica), and her extended family and friends. DeAnna will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In accordance with her wishes, DeAnna will be cremated, and her ashes will be kept with her family.
