He never met a stranger—only future friends

If you ever had the privilege of meeting Cheyenne, you knew him. His sincere personality and sense of humor made everyone feel like they belonged. He had a gift for connection whether you knew him for a moment or a lifetime, he left you smiling.

Born and raised in Westminster, California, Cheyenne was the beloved son of Cheyenne Awad and Theresa Gaborno. He worked most of his life in construction, known for his creativity and attention to detail in everything from demolition, remodeling homes and roofing to custom fencing. In recent years, he proudly served as a supervisor for Kelois, where his leadership and dedication earned respect from everyone he worked alongside.

Family was the heart of Cheyenne’s world. He was a devoted father to Brooklyn, Ernesto, Ivan, Myriah, Cali, and Cherishe, and a loving husband to Angelina and a recent Grandpa to Renezmae. He never missed a moment to show up for his kids, from school plays and cheer games to play dates and every milestone in between. His greatest accomplishment was the father he was present, supportive, and proud.

Cheyenne’s joy extended to the little things in life. A true foodie, he loved sharing meals and laughter, whether at his favorite local spots like Zankou's, Taco Land, Tomy’s, Chris N’ Pits or cooking up something creative at home. His passion for food was his way of showing love and bringing people together. As he would say, babe go make me a sandwich!

A diehard fan for the Indianapolis Colts, Cheyenne’s loyalty to his team dated back to the 80’s. Gamedays were spent watching his team however he could whether it was from his phone or sharing a good time with friends at a local resturnat, and always rocking his Colts blue. One of his best Colts highlights was attending a live game at SoFi Stadium with his brother Vince.

Cheyenne shared an especially close bond with his mother, Theresa “Sissy”, whose strength during her cancer battle inspired him deeply. He cared for her with endless compassion, reflecting his loyal and nurturing heart.

Those who knew Cheyenne will remember his quick wit, unforgettable laugh, and the way he could brighten any room. He was loyal, humble, genuine, and always thinking of others before himself. His presence made ordinary days lighter and lives better.

Cheyenne’s spirit will forever live on in his children, his family, and all who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of his life will be held on November 1, 2025, at His Place Church in Westminster, California.

Friends and loved ones are welcome to send flowers or share memories in his honor.
