In Loving Memory
Kenneth Alan Sicard, 77, passed away October 26, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1948 in Holyoke to the late Oliver and Margaret (Koske) Sicard. Ken proudly served his country as a US Marine during the Vietnam War. He served as a staff driver for the Pentagon in Quantico prior to his deployment and as a mortar squad leader while in Vietnam. Throughout his term, Ken received numerous awards and medals for his honorable and faithful service to his country.Following his time in the service, Ken worked for many construction companies and more recently worked as a licensed taxidermist until his retirement.Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman and carried great appreciation for nature and the outdoors. He will be fondly remembered as "The Legend" by family and friends and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren who called him Bubba.Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Whalen and Margaret Gregoire.He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Braman) Sicard; children, Michael Sicard and wife Kelley, Kenneth Sicard and wife Jessica, and Justin Sicard and wife Janet; stepchildren, Donna and Rachael Bradford; brother, Donald Sicard and wife Darlene; and grandchildren, Autumn, Colin, Colton and Gavin Sicard, Michael and Shayla Abbott, Lauren Bradford, and Grace, Noah, and Gabriella Emerson. A service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 9:00am at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting woundedwarriorproject.org or to St. Jude Children's Hospital by visiting stjude.org.
