Joanne Reed Mummert, 93, of Versailles, Kentucky, widow of Arnold Eugene Mummert, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born in San Jose, California on February 20, 1932, to the late Frances Anne McLaughlin Reed and Charles Abner Reed. Mrs. Mummert was a self-employed business owner and loved her Thoroughbred horses and her cats. She was of Catholic faith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, James (Cathy) Reed III of San Anselmo, California; and her sons, John (Mary) Barrett, Jr. of Kentucky, William (Kari) Diener of Lower Lake, California, Charles (Patti) Diener of Lower Lake, California; grandchildren, Regina Barrett King, John Barrett III, Andrew Barrett, Reed Diener, Fallon Painchaud Diener, Emma Diener Egger, James Barrett, Stuart Barrett; great Grandchildren, Kiera Bender, Lane Barrett, Rosie Vince, Madelynn Barrett.

She is preceded in death by her son, James Barrett.

A private family graveside service will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 at the Versailles Cemetery.
