Kathleen Marie Elfering1979 – 2025

Kathleen Marie Elfering, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2025, at the age of 45, surrounded by family at a hospital in Meridian, Idaho.

Born and raised in Idaho, Katie brought warmth, laughter, and creativity to everyone who knew her. She had a big personality and an even bigger heart - always quick to laugh and lend a hand.  Her caring nature touched the lives of countless friends and family members, and her presence could light up any room. 

Katie was deeply artistic and expressed herself beautifully through her creativity. She had a special love for animals and was happiest when surrounded by her furry companions. Her compassion extended beyond people - she cared for every living thing with genuine kindness and empathy.  Katie’s vibrant spirit and deep connection to the rodeo community left a lasting impact on those who knew her.   Her dedication was evident and her passion for horses, which led her to actively participate in local rodeos while in high school;  Notably she was honored to represent the Weiser Valley Rodeo and the Vale 4th of July Rodeos as part of their royalty showcasing her commitment and love for the sport.

She is survived by her parents, Leonard and Lorraine Elfering, her brother Michael Elfering, and her sisters Vickie Elfering and Melissa Elfering.   Katie’s memory will live on in the laughter she inspired, the art she created, and the love she gave so freely.

A service to celebrate Katie’s life will be held on December 12th, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Ontario, Oregon. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor her remarkable spirit.

Katie will be dearly missed and forever loved.
