Joan Baumann, 69, passed away on October 25, 2025, in Mesa, AZ after a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her parents, Dick and Jackie. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Max (wife Kelsy) and Alysa (husband Alex); her six grandchildren, Peyton, Brooks, Brady, Sadie, Scottie, and Sonny; her siblings Rick (wife Kathy), Mary (husband Maarten), Sandy (husband Phil), Margo, and Amy (husband Dan); and by her two golden retrievers, Teddy and Pearl.Born in Minnesota, Joan spent most of her childhood there before relocating to Phoenix after high school. In 1988, she moved to Tucson where she married, raised her family, and established her permanent roots. Her professional journey began at Tucson Medical Center directing the Children's Miracle Network program. She later became a business owner and spent over two decades in real estate with D.R. Horton before retiring in early 2025. Joan found purpose in helping others achieve their goals and was known for building lasting relationships throughout her career. Her dedication reflected the warmth and generosity that defined her character.Joan was adored as a mother, noni, daughter, sister, and friend. Her greatest passions in life included spending time with her family, grandchildren, and golden retrievers, practicing her Catholic faith, remaining active through exercise, cooking, baking, and being a provider – she was a go-to resource for seemingly anything. Her legacy lives on through a big family and many friends and colleagues she left an impact on throughout her life.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Children's Miracle Network or to the Golden Retriever Foundation.A celebration of life will take place at Brings Broadway Chapel in Tucson on December 5 at 10 a.m.Joan's light will continue to shine bright through the many lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
